How can an ancient Indian elephant help you live your dreams?
Ancient India. The main square. Snake charmers hypnotize you. The scent of spices lingers in the humidity. Foreign sounds waft through the air. A storyteller takes you to a quiet corner shaded by trees.

In a dream, conscious awareness is united with the unconscious because a dream has roots in both. It is a bridge over which images from the outer world travel to the inner.
On the occasions when preoccupation with the personal unconscious is diverted or overcome, a symbolic rise from the depths of our being, can launch us high into the spacious dream world of the collective unconscious, among the universal ‘archetypes’. Here we have an independent existence, another life entirely, where the dream dreams the dreamer. Jung wrote, “people do not dream’, they are dreamt. We undergo our dreams”.

There are many questions people ask, about life and death, the most common one that comes from people is “What is the spirit world like”. Throughout history people have lay awake at night trying to work out what happens to you after death, or they wonder how vast the universe is. The workings of the universe will be left for another day, today we will talk about what the spirit world is like.
No one truly knows what the spirit world is like, we can only work on visions impressions that are given to us from the spirit world. We will all know for sure one day, when we cross over to the other world. This is the impression that was given to me.

In literature animals have long been used to symbolise aspects of human emotions and traits. Animals may represent urgent, unthinking emotions, animal vitality and energy; or at worst, crude, animalistic behaviour. If you dream you are struggling to control an animal, it may be that you are trying to tame the instincts expressed by that particular creature. If an animal threatens you in a dream, try to tame it rather then kill it. If it is slaughtered, the instincts it embodies may be completely lost to you. Dreams about animals may also refer to the signs of the zodiac, with which they are associated, or in the Far East, with the Chinese astrological system.
In Native American traditions, wise men or shamans, often assume the form of animals in their dreams. Creatures that act as guides during the shaman’s journey to other worlds.

Hollywood has produced several films about people going on a quest to find themselves. ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ is just one example. What most of these films have in common is the idea that you have to go to a country half way around the world for you to do it!
Travel is a great way to reconnect with your true self because it allows you to relax and become immersed in a new culture. The idea is that, because you are away from your usual surroundings and daily routines, you are more likely to find the real you that is separate from your daily life. Sometimes your true self will change when you travel. They say that travel broadens the mind and meeting people from other cultures can sometimes lead to changes in beliefs or behaviour. You may become more altruistic if you visit areas of extreme poverty, for example.

We all have the ability to dream imaginatively and vividly, and there are many ways in which we can encourage our dream lives to blossom. We can experience many different types of dreams, which can provide us with great insight and guidance in respect of our daily lives. Many individuals experience lucid dream states; which means that when they are dreaming, they are consciously aware that they are dreaming; and can potentially influence and guide the direction of their dreams. This can be very helpful, particularly in situations where someone is having an anxiety dream; Because it gives the dreamer the opportunity to face and work through their fears. But, by far the most powerful of dream techniques, is the one in which we are able to ‘incubate’ a dream.
What is incubating a dream:
Dream incubation is a practiced technique of learning to “plant a seed” in the mind, in order for a specific dream topic to occur. By far the most common reason for doing this is problem solving. For example: a person might go to bed repeating to themselves that they will dream about a presentation they have coming up, and want to feel more confident about it.
