Mantras And Vibrational Healing

The principle of Mantra, is that sound creates vibration, and vibration creates energy. The word mantra has two parts. ‘Man’, which is the Sanskrit word for mind – and ‘tra’, which is the root of the Sanskrit word for instrument. A mantra is therefore an instrument of the mind, a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation.

According to the Vedic tradition, the ancient sages were able to hear the subtle vibrations produced by everything in nature. The sounds of the wind, thunder, butterflies, rushing rivers and all other creations. They recognized that these sounds are the manifestation of spirit into matter. They identified ‘Om’ or ‘Aum’ as the most elemental sound, representing the infinite universal consciousness. For thousands of years, people have used mantras as a means of expanding their awareness, and connection to the divine.

The study of herbal remedies is known as herbalism; it is the knowledge of how plants and herbs can be used to prevent and cure many ailments. It has been around for centuries and there is evidence that the earliest civilisations used herbs for various purposes.

Herbal remedies are natural – they use various parts of certain plants and herbs, such as the flowers or the roots, to treat various conditions. Natural remedies are much more affordable than manufactured products. They are purer too, as they contain less ingredients. If you have a specific condition that hasn’t responded to traditional medication, or if you are having unwanted side effects, then why not give natural, herbal remedies a try?

Although most herbal remedies are perfectly safe to use, it is advisable to speak to your doctor or a qualified herbalist before taking any herbal remedy; this is because some of them can cause allergic reactions, or shouldn’t be used when pregnant, as with any form of traditional medication. Dealing With Stress

Stress is becoming increasingly common these days. This isn’t surprising when you think about all the changes going on in the world. Due to the economic meltdown, a lot of people are worried about losing their jobs, or wondering where their next meal is coming from. Food banks have been set up to help some of the poorest people, but there are others suffering from stress and anxiety who don’t know who to turn to.

Stress is a very debilitating illness. It is something that can be prevented, yet so many people let it get out of hand and this leads to physical illnesses manifesting. At its worst, stress can lead to depression. Depression is a clinical disease, which doctors prefer to treat by referring patients to counsellors; however, a lot of people prefer to take medication. This can lead to dependency. There are some types of depression that are hereditary, or are not caused by stress; however, there are incidences of depression that are a result of a build up of acute stress and anxiety. It is this type of depression that can be reversed using some stress-reduction strategies.

Healing With Love

Whether you are aware of it or not. All of us can and do tap into the universal healing energy of love, on a regular basis. Every time you listen with patience and compassion to another person, or reach out a reassuring hand, you are becoming a channel of unconditional love. Every mother who holds her child close, wipes away a tear, who soothes hurts and fears; is a channel of healing love.

When people are in pain, be it emotional or spiritual. They often say how alone and lost they feel, and often push away those closest to them, who want to love and help them. Though I believe that we are always surrounded by love, the darkness of their thoughts and feelings in this state, creates a mantle of depression to settle on their shoulders; And it is this self erected barrier, that makes it difficult if not impossible for them to feel love. Feelings of despair and hopelessness can be a terrible thing. It is to those people I speak and to anyone who knows what it is like to feel lonely and  unloved.

Healing The Mind & Body

You would be surprised to know just how many illnesses are caused by stress. When we are stressed we can literally make ourselves sick with worry. Playing imaginary negative scenarios over and over in our minds can harm the body, as the subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between something real and something imagined.

When you are ill, it is always a good idea to go and visit a doctor. They can examine you and make sure there isn’t anything physically wrong with you. If there is, they can heal your body by providing the necessary medication. Sometimes, you may go to your medical practitioner and be told that there is either nothing wrong with you, or that your symptoms are likely to be psychosomatic; this means that your illness is all in your mind. You have either caused the symptoms by worry, or you imagine the symptoms and they’re not really there.
