Animal Totems

There was a time when humanity recognized itself as part of nature, and nature as part of itself. People would often use images of nature to express this sense of unity.

In the past shamans, priests and priestesses were the keepers of the sacred knowledge of life. They were capable of walking the threads that link the invisible and visible worlds. They helped people to remember that all trees are divine and that all animals speak to those who will listen. We can use animal imagery and other nature totem images as a way to learn about ourselves and the invisible world.

Psychic Pets

We all love our pets, there is no doubt of that. They give us companionship, unconditional love and loyalty. They don’t talk back and are great at keeping secrets; And for many people who live alone, having a cat or dog to love and care for, can make the world of difference to their mental health and well being. Our pets are very much a important part of the family; and when they eventually die, people experience grief every bit as real as they would for a human family member or loved one.

But aside from this very strong bond we have with our pets. Have you ever noticed your pet showing signs of telepathy or psychic abilities? Do our pets and perhaps even all animals, possess some innate psychic ability that allows them to tune in to human brainwaves or even to see the future?

The Beauty Of Nature

Mankind has long had a sacred and spiritual connection to the earth and nature; And not just because we depend on the land to feed, shelter and sustain us. But on a much deeper and profound level. I believe that the earth is a sentient and self regulating entity, that adapts and maintains the suitable conditions for life on our planet. This process seems to happen with ease, a fluid and natural thing, as long as we do not tamper with it. Do we as human beings have the ability to tap into this phenomena, and in doing so, can we use it as a means to re balance our own natural energies, that are often out of balance?

Walking, sitting and just being out in nature, can often evoke in people a sense of awe or wonderment. They feel a strong sense of connectedness or oneness with the natural world; a profound feeling of transcendence (within and without); a belief in a power greater than oneself; and an appreciation of the beauty in nature. It sparks feelings of inner peace, hope, joy and empowerment; promotes physical and emotional well-being, and can bring about ‘significant’ changes in attitude and behaviour.

An Awakened Spirit

Humility and selfless love are the signs of an awakened spirit. Part of having an awakened spirit is the eagerness to learn, understand, and work for the well being of not only ones self but of others as well.Pride and arrogance are not really marks of a good person to begin with and even less so in a person with an awakened spirit. The same thing goes with unconditional love. With an awakened spirit, people will begin living in harmony with both nature and other people. Compassion and love would be equal regardless of race, nationality & culture. An awakened person, is intuitive, empathic and sees the world around them with intense clarity. Every fibre of your being is heightened and joy can be found in the simplest things. Sounds, light and movement a cacophony of delight that intoxicates the senses.

What Is The Rush

I was reading a newspaper earlier and I came across an old advert from the 1930s. The advert reads, Better a minute late in this world than 25 years too soon in the next.

Now that makes you think doesn’t it. The world has speeded up over the last few decades, everyone is in some rush to get somewhere, and not many are thinking through the consequences of how they get there. By rushing people run the risk of having an accident, or making mistakes within their life. It seems to be a bygone age when people took their time to do anything. It seems people want the next TV or the next car before they have even had the one they have got a year.
