How often have you held back what you were wanting to say because you were worried about what others might think about you? Isn’t it funny how we often allow others to be who they are, even when we don’t particularly like or approve of their actions or words, and yet we are not prepared to do the same for ourselves.
Have you ever wondered why it is that some of the people around you do or say things that you find upsetting or annoying, but you still love being around them? The main reason we connect with others is because we are attracted to their energy. Often we believe the reason why others like us, is because of the way we act around them. Although some of that is truth, it is our energy that is the lighthouse beacon they are drawn to.

If asked many people would claim to be truthful and honest in their dealings with other people. If questioned further, they might admit to the odd ‘white lie’. But would say, that they were not really lying just rearranging the facts a little or omitting a vital piece of information for the sake of peace; or in consideration of the feelings of the other person. The question you have to ask yourself is; if you were the one wanting an honest answer or to be given the true facts of a situation. Would you feel lied to if you were to discover later on, that the information you were given was not accurate or had been altered to suit the purposes of someone else, no matter how well intentioned their motives had been?
This type of lying or dishonesty can easily become a well established habit. Each time we change a story or version of events to suit ourselves, it becomes easier and easier to do. Is it little wonder then that so many people today have issues with trust, in their personal relationships and day to day dealings with other people.

If you feel that your life is stuck in a rut, or you feel trapped, you may think there is no way to turn. Perhaps you hate your job, but you do it because you’re worried about paying your bills, or losing your home. The credit crunch and recession has caused problems for many people, with some of them finding their lives changed forever.
It doesn’t have to be like this. If you watch news programmes that focus on things such as the lack of jobs, or conflicts in the Middle East, these negative things not only make you feel depressed, but they enter your subconscious where they stay and continue to affect your life. You may not even realise this, but they start to affect you on a subconscious level, so you start to believe there are no other jobs. This negative belief then keeps you tied to a job you hate.
This is just one example of what can happen when you surround yourself with negativity. If you believe there are no jobs, then this will prevent you from looking. It will stop you trying to improve your situation, by retraining, so you can find something better, for example. The more you keep watching the news or reading negative articles in the newspaper, the more depressed and trapped you will feel, over time.

Over the last week or so, the word ‘Duality’ has come up in different media forms and also in books I have read. Because this word kept ‘popping’ up, it made me think. I thought, what does this word mean to me. So I decided to write about it and this is where my thoughts took me. I’d like to share them with you.
Duality, to me represents division, or an inner pull in two directions. This can be taken as a contradiction within our natures or personality. For example a spiritual aspect or facet of the personality, pulling against a more pleasure loving in its base form, or materialistic aspect of the personality. This pull between the esoteric mind with its higher spiritual aspirations and the desire for more physical gratification, often presents itself as a dilemma for someone who seriously wishes to follow a spiritual path, believing that they must be of either one or the other mind set.
I read this passage recently, from the book ‘Living Magically’ by Gill Edwards. I would like to share it with you.
“When the god’s created Heaven and Earth, according to an old Eastern story. They were left with just one problem; Where to hide TRUTH. They did not want it to be too obvious, since observing the search, would provide them with great amusement. One god suggested, placing it at the top of the highest mountain; another on the furthest star. A third god said, it should be hidden in the deepest and darkest abyss, and another the dark side of the Moon; the oldest and wisest god said, ‘No. We will hide the Truth inside the heart of each and every human being. That way, they will search for it, all over the Universe, before discovering it.”

Not everyone will agree with you in this life, do not let anger rise, instead agree to disagree & move forwards blessing those that do not share your opinion. For that is all it is most of the time, people frequently have arguments over an opinion, which all depends on your viewpoint. You must remember that they see from another angle. Imagine two people looked at an apple tree one from a north standing position and one from a south standing position.
The first man counts fourteen apples, on the tree he can see from his angle of view. The second man can see just eight apples. Now neither are right or wrong, as there is actually twenty apples on the tree, both men cannot see fully, yet they see in part. The first man saw a few more apples because his viewpoint was slightly better. But this still did not make him totally right, as he missed six apples. He could not see the full story.
